INFORMATION ABOUT SOLDER

We have a range of solder products to suit electrical and electronic use (red packaging), plumbing use (yellow packaging) and metalwork (green packaging). The main differences between the solder types are the alloy composition and the flux type. Alloys are either solid tin (lead free), 60/40 (60% tin, 40% lead), 50/50 (50% tin, 50% lead), and silver bearing (approx. 3.5%).
